Dogs and photography have always gone hand in hand, and because you’re here, it’s plain that you share a love of animals and have an interest in having a portrait made of one or several . That’s why I created Muddy Paws Pet Portraits. Now you can capture the love you feel for your treasured dog or cat with my timeless classic pet portraits.
When it comes to your dog, you want her or him to look as good as they possibly can in their portrait. That’s where hiring a professional dog photographer really comes in handy. New Jersey pet and dog photographer Bruce Lorenz, owner of Muddy Paws Pet Portraits, knows that getting a great photograph of your furry friend doesn’t happen overnight and takes a lot careful planning.
I have photographed hundreds of animals through the years, including dogs, cats, horses and birds and even ferrets. Creating unique and exciting pet portraits that will help you relive those treasured moments with your pet is my goal. I would be honored with a commission and do the same for you.

Getting Started
The first step is to fill out and submit this form to let me know what it is that you are looking for. This way, I can email you all of my session information. We can then chat about your session you may have, and we can the schedule your portrait session.
The Session
All of my pet sessions are relaxed and fun. Think of us as just friends getting together. If you're comfortable, your pet will be too! You'll most likely be be uncomfortable at first, but I guarantee, no matter how unruly your pet is or chaotic it feels...its normal.
PRODUCTS
After your session, we will select a time and a place to get together and go over all of the images. I’ll guide you through all of the images and you can let me know your favorites and any concerns that you may have. I’ll fully explain everything that is available to purchase and show you examples. This is one of the areas that really sets me apart from other pet and dog photographers, and why so many of my clients return year after year.
Life can soon get the better of us and time too easily slips away, so it is my mission to preserve the precious moments of life with your dog that you wish could last forever. The New Official Seal of the Republic of Corolla
The Seal of the Republic of Corolla is a masterpiece of coastal symbolism, steeped in salt air, sunburn, and just the right amount of rebellion.
At its center rises the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, standing tall as the Republic’s eternal beacon—guiding confused locals, lost tourists, wayward pelicans, and the occasional rogue paddleboarder safely home. It represents vigilance, hospitality, and our shared commitment to never climbing all those stairs again.
To the side, a surfer carries his board overhead, symbolizing the tireless pursuit of the perfect wave (and the willingness to look heroic doing it). His stance reflects the Republic’s national motto: “Stay Upright and Carry On.”
