these guys where just so cool, I don’t know who had more fun, me or them!
okay, so today and tomorrow I’m doing portrait sessions exclusively at these awesome gardens in Summit, NJ. Reeves-Reed Arboretum is so cool, it offers a myriad of spots any time of day to create great portraits. Had a little break so I thought that I’d post an image from the 1st session of the day.

The sessions are part of a fund raising project that I’m doing with Reeves-Reed called Portraits in the Park. For a bit more info on this project please visit www.blorenz.com/ReevesReed

I love doing these types of projects, and donating my services to groups that can raise funds by auctioning me off :-)
On my way to the Arboretum this morning, I dropped off a Gift Certificate for a portrait session and a Masterpiece Canvas Portrait to St. Huberts Giralda, a totaly cool animal welfare center in Madison, NJ.
Hopefully they will get some big bucks for it next weekend at Barkfest!

We’ve gotten two of our cats, Molly and Chloe from St. Huberts, and know many others that have that have gotten animals from them, so if you’re thinking about getting a pet, you owe it to yourself to check this place out, and maybe adopt one of the cute puppies or kittens there.
credit where credit is due!
you know that I’m all about customer service, and really dig outrageous customer service, I don’t mean good service, you get that good faux customer service almost every where nowadays, you know, I’m Cindy your server for this evening, or that plastic smile from the sales person at the mall, who really just wants to go home, I can go and on.
Well this morning I was dropping off my Jetta at a v dub place that I’ve never been to. When I turned into Trend Motors in Rockaway, NJ there were a bunch of smiley people standing outside around balloon and signs announcing valet parking. I pulled up to the line and there was this cheery person saying hi and good morning, she had a clipboard and asking what they could do for me and getting all my info. There was another guy checking under the hood and topping off the windshield washer fluid etc. They asked if I needed a lift somewhere from the shuttle, which was a very cool VW van with flowers ( no pic, sorry ), I said thanks, but no thanks, since Skip was picking me up in about 10 minutes. All this at about 7:50 in the morning. I’m like wow, this is cool.

About 45 minutes later I get a call from Andrea at Trend telling me what was wrong with my car and how much it would cost, and that it would be ready at about 12:30. No hard sell for service that I didn’t go there for or didn’t really need. Again, I’m like wow.

When I went to pick up my car, they knew who I was and had my invoice waiting. I’ve never had such great service at a car dealer before ( and I’m coming off 15 years of mercedes & bmw’s ). You know they’re getting all my business from now on.
Thanks again to Andrea and all of the crew at Trend!

more stuff….I’ve driven by this barn a gazillion times and never stopped, no camera, boring light, too busy, good song, blah, blah, blah…..well yesterday I had my S5, the light was right, I was in the right groove, and the clouds were cool. Here’s one of my favs from that stop.

That stop was on the way to Irish Jacks in Califon, NJ, which is where we got Gracie. We where taking her there for a visit, and to get reacquainted, since she will be staying there for a few days next week when we go down to Laura’s graduation from Loyola. She had a great time playing with Henry and all of the other JRs.
I think Skippy wants another puppy…yikes! Susan had just gotten 15 new puppies, and I knew that could be trouble….but I was able to get Skippy out of there without any new mouths to feed :-)Gracie and some of her friends.

more stuff… Had a good time and a good meal last night hangin with some guys that I used to be in a mastermind group with. These guys were largely responsible for getting me where I am today. Thanks again to Saul, Mike and Mike.

more stuff coming soon!
Hey, I’m always trying to be more organized, and for the past little while I’ve been burning double back-ups of client files that are completed. I’m always get amped going back over work that I haven’t seen in a while, and remembering how cool all my clients are, remembering fun little details about them and their session, and how lucky I am to have crossed paths and worked with them. Anyway, here are just a few of the images that I’ve come across in the past couple of hours.
I hope you enjoy them too :-)

…and the running streak hits
123 days!
that’s days in a row running………not to shabby!
picked up two new pairs of Mizuno Wave Nirvanas last week at
runningcloseouts.com, a great place to pick up a pair of your favorite running shoes,
as long as you don’t mind last seasons color, or if that fav shoe
has been discontinued by that nasty corporation that manufactures
them. lol. My last pairs were almost wearing thru, must have had
over 600 miles on each pair. Anyway, as any runner knows,
running with new shoes ( and socks ) is like a visit to heaven.

how many days till New York?

Lots of images of large, medium and small family groups on and off the beach in New Jersey and Corolla and Duck and the entire Outer Banks of North Carolina. There are also many images of sunrises, sunsets and surfing photos in the Outer Banks, along with a mix of dog and pet photography, business portraits and headshots from sessions in New York City and all over New Jersey. Lots of fun photos from my journey.
