I am an artist, a portrait artist, creating portraits of families, of children, of animals, of business people, and that’s a good thing, because there’s something about being an artist, being a musician, being a painter, a sculptor or athlete, that when you’re doing it you’re in that very exact moment of your life, and that’s rare you know, and oh so cool, because when you’re not in that mode you’re thinking about yesterday, or tomorrow or some other little silly thing that really doesn’t make any sense, but when you’re doing, man, it just feels so right on the moment and magical.
I know that this may not make a lot of sense to many, but if you know what I’m talking about, you’re one of the lucky ones, and if this just doesn’t make any sense to you that’s okay too, just trust me though, being an artist is a good thing.
I also get those Zen like moments when I run, where I often find myself in that zone of the moment, and this morning I had beautiful ten mile run, a run that brought the above image into my mind, and even though I just shared the image on Facebook and Instagram the other day, I wanted to share it here also.
I call it “Our time together is almost done”, and when I was making it there was a lot of water in my eyes.
