Kelly & Christian

Kelly & Christian had one of the most rockin’ weddings I’ve ever been at (and I’ve been at one or two) last week at The Tides in North Haledon, which is just a stone’s throw from my Franklin Lakes studio.

ck out the slide show……it’s short, it’s sweet, and…….it rocks!

Pay special attention to the flowers, which were done by Kim Auriemma Designs of Whippany, NJ

Everything that evening was just perfect…………they even had a photobooth!……set up by yours truly.

Rebekah’s Bat Mitzvah

Last week I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Rebekah’s Bat Mitzvah.

I met up with Rebekah, her mom and her sisters at Frank Anthony Salon in Chester, NJ where they were having their hair and makeup done.

Then off to Temple Shalom in Succasunna, NJ

After the services there was a rockin’ reception at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown, NJ

Brian Howard from Fantasy Productions did an awesome job keeping the party moving and the dance floor full!

Meet Mary

………..Laura’s new puppy! She’s a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix that she got from Eleventh Hour Rescue of Rockaway, NJ

She’s so cute……..and quite a bundle of energy!

yesterday I spent a few hours in the city, got in a nice 5 miler in Central Park, and during my cool down walk I made this image of Bow Bridge……..I kinda like it, hope you do too!

I love simplicity………it is just so understated……and makes for amazing portraits.
I also love black and white
again, very simple

all of these images are so simple, yet each one tells it’s own classic, timeless story…….

the other day I got these really cool albums in, I call them companion albums because they are meant to be “companions” to traditional, heavier leather bound bridal albums. My clients love them as “carry around” albums, kind of like high end brag books.

One of the best things about my companion albums are that they contain real custom printed, fully retouched photographs, they are not “press printed” (which is like magazine printing) like so many other photographers albums.

okay, so March is here, and even though I love the winter, March 1st can only mean good things are coming……..and two of my favs are spring skiing and St. Patricks day! And if I can get on the slopes on the 17th it’s only that much better! (and I usually do! lol)

The “to do” list keeps getting shorter and shorter, and while I was doing “stuff” on the list, I ran across images from Italy in ‘08 and had to post this one……….I think that is was from Minori, a small town on the Amalfi coast.

also ran across these images from a wedding last summer on the beach in Corolla in the Outer Banks, and I have to admit, even though I love the colder months, these kind of images make me look forward to some warm weather!

This one’s one of my fav’s from the entire summer!

If you’ve been a regular visitor here, you know Gracie ( our Jack Russell terrorist ) is a big part of our lives……..Skip ( aka my wife Patti ) clipped this the other day and gave it to me….it’s from the Mutts comic…..and it happens at least a dozen times a day, but we love it.

Here’s a little more fun with Gracie……and the snow!

and for those who care, the running streak is still going strong, a thousand plus days, I’ll have to count ‘em up and report back.

Just like everyone in these parts we had a snow day today, but since I’m working from home a lot lately I was able to continue chipping away at that to-do list……..
But we did manage to play a bit

…and the play will continue tomorrow cause Chris and I are headed to Hunter…..I’m psyched!

and while trying to make a dent in it I came across this clip from last summer….it’s a quick trip from my store in Corolla to the lighthouse rd where I was meeting a client for a portrait session

and here’s a portrait of one of our cats ( Molly ) that I just printed, framed and brought to St. Huberts Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ. I’m donating a session and a canvas portrait to be auctioned at Cat Society Tea this Sunday, and thought that Molly would make a nice sample.
